The Somerset Intelligence Network is one of several geographically-based local intelligence networks (LINs) across the region. These LINs, together with seven thematic 'Modules' make up the South West Observatory.
The Observatory works to a vision that policy making in and about the region should be based on firm evidence.

SINe is hosted locally by the Somerset Strategic Partnership. This means that SINe aims to deliver its remit as a local intelligence network within the overall aims and objectives of the SSP, as outlined in the Somerset Sustainable Community Strategy and the Local Area Agreement.
